Excellent info as always, Kris.

Question: Do you know if there are any benefits to disabling Aero without disabling DWM? Is there anything that DWM does besides Aero?

Guess my question is, is there any reason to do so via the registry vs. disabling the service (which would seem to be the safer method here)?

Wow, thanks so much for this!

I've had a crappy bug that stops the game explorer from displaying the preview pane.

This has finally fixed it! :)

I tell you what though,

These stupid folder view bugs shouldnt be in Vista at all!

God, will have have to totally re-write explorer to finally correct it?
