I spent several hours last night and tonight moving the CommentSpam off
LonghornBlogs.com and onto the CommentSpam.org database. Apparently, my
flaunting of the CommentSpammers has raised their ire.. which was the point.
It's been about a month since the last time I did it, and the numbers are
staggering. We had about 650 entries in the system before last night, and by the
time I was done, the database was SEVEN TIMES larger than it was when I
started.
I'm still trying to find a CAPTCHA solution that works. Miguel
Jiminez's solution still doesn't work on .Text setups that use UrlRewriting
instead of actual directories. I'm going to purchase a license for XHEO
FormGuard tomorrow, and install it on the system. Until then, commenting is
turned off across the entire site. Once a decent solution is in place, we'll
turn it back on. If any of you know a better solution, please e-mail it to
me.
