Windows Now

Today's "Vista Daily" is the "Getting Over Pink Eye Edition". Yesterday was not a lot of fun, but today's a better day.

• Windows Server "Longhorn" February CTP has been released. I'll be installing it tomorrow to see what this build is all about.
• Virtual PC 2007 has been released, complete with a new website. It's too bad the website looks better than the VPC user interface. Enjoy it while you can, it may be the last stand-alone virtualization product Microsoft ever releases.
• SQL 2005 Service Pack 2, featuring Vista compatibility, has been released too. Kudos to the SQL team for making installation painless.
• Jake Ludington brings a whole new meaning to 'wardriving'. Pretty sweet, if you ask me.
• Code Project is holding two Vista-related competitions:
• A $1000 Vista API competition
• A $2000 Sidebar Gadget competition (I have an idea for this one I'll post tomorrow)
• The Vista Sales Numbers: Anatomy of a Wash. Microsoft needs to release their sales numbers pretty soon so shareholders can understand what's going on.
• Vista's "Express Upgrade?" Not so much. [via InsideMicrosoft]
