Hehe... if you have a new baby, I can't imagine that you'd have time to get to this again any time soon!  :)  (I know, I've been there... thrice!... and going on four times).  Take your time and enjoy that new little one.  :)  

It was such a pleasant surprise after being so worried that something happened to you for so long.  I hope all is well and that mommy, baby and of course... daddy... are all doing well.

That was either irresponsible or a sick game to keep the computer for yourself. Picking the winner won't take you that much. Honestly I don't care, I didn't even participate to your contest since it requires a whole lot from an individual.

HonEbaby, so does that mean he's going to post the winner in a month or so when he's all settled down??? Come on, how long is this going to take??!! Watching around 30 videos doesn't take that much time...you can even watch them while you eat meals for crying out loud.

All this seems very weird. Still no decision...

C.:  Have you ever had kids?  Especially for the first child! - For me when I had my first, if I even got five minutes to use the restroom... I considered that a success!  Getting to know your baby takes a lot of time and patience.  It's extremely stressful and there's a lot of changes that take place (literally) overnight.  

As much as I want to know who won, I'm not willing to put my want of a laptop in front of a new father who's learning the new reigns of his responsibilities in life.  That's just unacceptable to me!  

Oh, and mealtime?  Right!  I think I barely got a bite of food to my mouth before the baby would start fidgeting or crying again!  There was no such thing as a meal... it was more... survival!  

Is it really life or death if you get the laptop today?  Common!  Give the guy a break.  We'll know soon enough.  :)

What would you do if you were in the same situation?  Robert really does need to take a break from the computer and take care of his family first before the Internet!

As far as the contest goes, Robert deserves the right to announce the winner whenever he feels he is ready.  He is the contest holder.  

I think we should give him a lil slack, but please hurry up its been 3 days past due for the winner to be announced

Yeah give Robert a break please & though i agree it's late now but you haven't paid anything to enter the contest.So, please just wait patiently for his responce.He has other stuffs in life too,which is his new born baby which certainly is more important than seeing & reviewing those low quality You Tube videos.Thanks for understanding. :)

Well, that was rude "okay"!  Robert is a well respected person in the Microsoft Community.  He wouldn't run away with a laptop.  And, as HonEbaby said, speak for yourself, not for everyone.  Some of us do understand that he is in a certain situation that is preventing him from judging the contest.  

Just a note to whoever is repeatedly posting bad comments on others videos and putting low ratings, just stop.  You're wasting your time, because Robert said he is picking the winner himself!  It's not based on ratings.

it's been three days and yes, i know he just had a baby, but i'm sure he must get a few minutes of free time...

I noticed that Robert was online last night as well.  He was definitely going through the videos and reviewing them for the contest.  I'm sure he will be posting the results up soon!  We just need to wait a little bit more.  We're lucky that he has found the time to do this.  :)

I'm not making any accusations and it could be perfectly well that he had a kid, and thats fine. However, in the slight chance that he did in fact screw us, can't someone do something. Such as HP or the contest organization. I doubt he could get away with taking a $5000 dollar laptop for himself. He will have to give it up sometime. Its possible he could just not want to part with the dragon and also enjoy the increased traffic to his site and be trying to prolong that as long as possible. If we don't hear anything for a few weeks what should we do?

Again Robert I'm sorry if you really had a baby and something has simply gone wrong. However I do not know you and I'm simply assuming the worst. I hope I am wrong. Congratulations.

Believe it or not, it's only been a week since Robert has not chosen a winner and had a baby.  He is a well known tech blogger and would not take away a $5,000 laptop!  This is definitely not the reason he hasn't posted the reason.  There may be certain situations that are preventing him from posting the winner.  I understand that you really are awaiting the results, as am I and a lot of others.  We will just need to wait a little longer.  I noticed he was online for at least two hours two days ago, viewing the contest entries.  He may be announcing the results soon!  :)

I start enjoying that I still haven't lost in that competition (even though I haven't won...) :)

LOL... holy crap guys, you sure were busy in my absense. Thanks for all the well-wishes from everyone. The girl's name is Kaycee, and she is doing just fine. It was a rough week, to be sure, and I'm sorry it took so long to get the winners posted. Please just know that I put a LOT of time into picking the winner, and it was not something I took lightly.
