I am using an Aspire Cube case for my Windows Home Server which is probably a little bigger than the one that the author used. By carefully drilling some holes in the floor of the case I managed to squeeze 2 additional hard drives into the box, for a total of 4 hard drives.
The only problem is the that factory power supply will not carry this much of a load, in fact the computer shut down regularly at random times after I put it together. I have since changed to a standard ATX power supply with much higher wattage. It is a bit of a squeeze to get the larger power supply into the case. I used an ASUS optical drive in the upper bay because it is shorter than some drives. I think Lite-On has a shorter drive also. The advantage to this case is that you can slide the optical drive forward while installing the larger power supply.
I built this machine sometime ago and went a little overboard on the drives. It has the following drives:
1 Optical Drive
1 Internal Zip Drive
1 Floppy Drive
2 SATA Hard Drives
2 ATA Hard Drives
